  1. Some good suggestions here, looking forward to trying out some of the unfamiliar names!

Only been to Five Guys once so far though and it was anything but cheap. Two burgers, two chips and two drinks? About £30. Never again. Handmade burger co on the other hand often ends up cheaper as they always seem to be handing out vouchers left right and centre, can’t remember the last time I paid full price there! The burgers are better, too. Five Guys would be fine if it was comparable with Maccy D’s or BK like it is in the US but here it’s way too overpriced for what you get in my opinion.

    • That’s more about value though, isn’t it? Objectively Five Guys is a reasonably cheap dinner – if I hadn’t included it I would also have had to leave out the Oakford, Sapana etc… Difficult to draw a line but you’ve got to draw it somewhere.

  2. I’m in Reading area soon and this site was recommended to me. Do you know of any burger type “cheap eats” in Calcot? Working down there soon.
